Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 8 is 1 full mm. from cap. Date is 7 mm., 18 wider than 835. 5 has a broad, curved, pointed, horn type top that has been recut. This variety and O-101 are the only two in 1835 that have this type 5 in the date. There is a thin line of the first cutting wide to right of the curved top. A line joins stand and ball of 5. A sharp dot is to right of the outer curve of 5. This might be an 1835 over 4, but there is not enough evidence to attribute it as such. It is one of the most common varieties in 1835.

Reverse- 50 C. is 1 mm., 5 higher than 0, has a well curved top and is tipped sharply to left. Arrow to A is 1 mm. Left sides T-I in line. A us higher than M and leans to left. ER wide spaced and out of line. Line 2 of stripe 3 solid to crossbar 2. Right corner of shield extends upward. E centered under left side of D.
