Variety Attribution: Obverse-Date 7 1/4 mm. and evenly spaced. 83 being a shade closer than 18 or 35, each of the latter are spaced 1 mm. at top half. A fine die crack circles from near star 5 to star 10. Another die crack at base of date.

Reverse- 50 C. is a scant 1 mm. and a bit low. 5 has a short straight top and loop is nearly closed. Arrow to A is 3/4 mm. I is centered under left side of T. Center dot on lower side of crossbar 4. Left side of I in UNITED is recut. Short vertical rays are usually visible from rim near 50 C. and lower olive leaves. E centered under left side of D. line 1 of stripe 3 below shield center line of stripe 2 solid to crossbar 2.
