1827 O-125 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar

Somewhat common, with specimens grading up to MS64 appearing on the market.

PCGS Graded AU53 CAC. Beautifully toned example of this variety. Very good luster and it also has a green football. This one has a shot at 55 on a good day.

Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 13 is 1/4 mm. from curl. Date is 8 mm.and rather low. Usually found with only light or partial milling and with stars drawn to edge. There is a line at T in LIBERTY from lower left  base through the upper right serif and into the cap.

Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/2 mm. Arrow to A is 1/4 mm. Right sides T-I in line. Center line of stripe 4 extends below shield to feather. Little or no milling and letters drawn to edge. Specimens with full milling are Rare in this die marriage.
