1808 O-105 R2 Capped Bust Half Dollar

This one is tough in any grade if a problem free example is desired. I count 2 MS and perhaps as few as 8 AU problem free examples that have appeared the last 10 years, and XF examples that have been noted seem to be scarce as well. There is a single gem MS67 out there, but generally this one is scarcer than the R3 indicates, thus it has been added to my toughest R3 list.

Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars large, well formed, and clear of milling. Date is 9 mm., and 18 is wider than 808. Star 7 to lower edge of forecurl.

Reverse-50 C. is 2 mm. Arrow to A is 1 mm. Arrowheads are ribbed with two lower ones solidly joined. A tiny center dot is at upper edge of left wing near body. Top of E in scroll is partially filled on late die states. STATES OF crowded together almost like one word.
